Our country is honored to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as Prince William and his lovely wife Catherine visit Southern Califorina. The two arrived in Santa Barbara and enjoyed events such as a polo match in which Prince William performed quite well scoring four goals to win the match. In the evening, the two also attended a star-studded affair hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts to promote up-and-coming British talent in the industry.
As president of the academy, Prince William began his remarks with the following: “Before I start, I’d just like to thank Colin Firth for my opening line: I have a voice,” William quipped in brief remarks to the star-studded audience, referring to Firth’s role as King George VI in the acclaimed film “The King’s Speech.”
The Duchess wore a flowing lilac dress with white waistband by Alexander McQueen, a design house that also created her stunning wedding gown.
The Duke and Duchess were gracious to onlookers and royal watchers as they made their way through the crowds reminiscent of Princess Diana’s visits in the 1980s where she was adored by millions of Americans.
One thing is definitely for sure, Prince William and Kate are the most popular couple in the world. And they’re doing good works with their fame. The world is defintely a better place with them in it.
