Happiness is a choice. I read a great book by that title by author Barry Neil Kaufman about 15 years ago and it was life changing. Prior to reading the book, I had always accepted what life handed me and believed that happiness would come to me if I was destined to be happy. After reading the book, I went out and found happiness in many, if not all, aspects of my life. I joined clubs and organizations. I worked harder in my courses in college. I made contacts within the field which I had chosen to pursue which was law. I sought out friends who were on the same path as me. All the changes made a 180 degree flip in my life. It was astounding.
I agree wholeheartedly with the above statement that happiness is not the absence of problems, it’s the ability to deal with them. We’re are never going to be without problems. Problems are a part of life. They make us who we are. How we face our problems makes us who we are. Together, let’s face our problems with strength and humility, for that is the only way to true happiness.
