The women take the lead!
It was a windy and cold day in Tallahassee as the first of three events at the Red Hills International Horse Trials began. The horses were ready to show their moves as today was all about dressage.
Dressage is one of the most challenging events because the riders must show off their horse’s balance, rhythm, and, most importantly, obedience. Dressage is difficult because a rider must demonstrate that a horse that is trained to be powerful enough to maneuver large jumps and complete the cross country phase of eventing also has the training to be graceful and precise.
At the end of today’s dressage competition, it was the women who found themselves on top. Eventing is certainly an exciting and unpredictable sporting event!
